Oh, the Brian Cox teaching a 2yo Shakespeare is totally awesome!

You might give My Own Private Idaho a chance--it featured one of the late River Phoenix's best performances, and one of Reeves' few really solid dramatic performances.

I haven't seen My Own Private Idaho yet, so I can't speak to that. Admittedly I haven't seen much of Reeves' work because I just can't take that wooden voice of his, but the only films I've liked him in are Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, The Matrix and A Scanner Darkly (oddly enough).

He seems like a very nice person, and I think he would've been perfect for the silent film era - as long as he doesn't speak I actually like him. He's very attractive and has a brilliant smile. I just don't like him as an actor.

However, Brian Cox giving a toddler Shakespeare lessons? I LOVE that.

I feel obligated to point out that Keanu's Shakespeare record is actually 50/50: you're right that he's awful in Much Ado, but he's actually decent in My Own Private Idaho (which is basically a retelling of Henry V, and even includes a scene with Reeves quoting the play nearly-verbatim; it counts).

His performance in Dracula is utterly awful, though. But then again, I really, really hated Coppola's version anyway, nearly everything about it.
